Half Real Coin Bracelet

This bold sterling silver bracelet features a genuine silver Spanish 1/2 Real coin. During the 16th and 17th centuries, Spain became the premier supplier of gold and silver coins via their mining operations in the New World. These coins are known to collectors as "cobs," short for Cabo De Barra or cut from the end of the bar.

The front of the coin depicts a Jerusalem Cross, while the reverse features either the Hapsburgs or the Bourbons, the ruling families of Spain during this period.
