This commanding pendant houses a genuine bronze Roman Widow's Mite coin, minted in the holy land over 2000 years ago, during the reign of King Alexander Jannaeus in the century preceding the birth of Jesus Christ.
It features a star on one side and an inverted anchor on the other side. What makes these coins of great historical and religious importance is that twice in the bible, Jesus is quoted telling the story of the poor widow who gave all that she had which was just two mites. These coins are unique ancient artifact that would have been handled and used in market stalls by villagers, traders, holy men and Roman soldiers in every day transactions.

The robust wheat chain and pendant feature a deliberate oxidized finish, creating a distinguished patina. The bail's riveted hinge construction ensures durability for the discerning gentleman.
