Anna Nava-Liess

Anna Nava-Liess
Instructor

Twelve years ago, after growing up in California, almost two decades as a nomadic military spouse traveling and living all over the US and Europe, and overcoming neurosurgery and partial paralysis, Anna discovered jewelry making and metalsmithing; they helped her regain and improve fine motor skills lost to paralysis. She is inspired by textiles, fashion, European architecture and the countless experiences she has had while living and traveling abroad. One-of-a-kind, handmade statement pieces are her passion. Anna is a four-time exhibiting artist at Artistar Jewels in Milan, Italy, two-time New York City Jewelry Week exhibitor and received the top honor in the jewelry category during the DC Region Creative Craft Council’s 2023 Biennial.

Isabel Pollack
Instructor

Isabel teaches our weekend ring-making workshops. She got her start in jewelry here at Wear Ever Jewelry School, studying hand fabrication for two years before becoming an instructor. Her calm demeanor and gentle guidance during class put students at ease. Her favorite thing is exploring techniques of the ancient worlds, like woven chain and granulation. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Visual Technology.

Jacob Martin

He earned both Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT): School for American Crafts, focusing on jewelry design and metalsmithing. His skills also incude stone setting, engraving, tool making, blacksmithing, and welding, to name a few.
